Meet the Team
Melissa Henry, Owner/ Director/ Lead Teacher
Melissa Henry, M.Ed. is a licensed Early Childhood Teacher and holds a Master’s Degree in Education. Ms. Melissa has previously taught grades PreK-2 and brings with her 10 years of classroom experience. Mrs. Melissa will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the program, supervising and training the staff and public relations with the parents and community. She will also be the lead teacher in both 3 and 4 year old programs. Ms. Melissa lives in Abington with her husband Mark, and their children, Colin and Payton. She loves her family, children, and the beach! She enjoys singing and has a love of literacy and hands on learning, which she can’t wait to share with the students of The Little Schoolhouse.
April Eriksen, Assistant Teacher
April Eriksen graduated from Quinnipiac University with a bachelor’s degree and also has 10 years of experience working in a CPA firm. Ms. April is very active in the public school system and has served on two PTO boards for the last 4 years! She has also owned her own licensed in- home daycare for the past two years. She is a very active member of the Abington community. She lives in Abington with her husband Greg and their three children, Savannah, Tate and Aurora. Ms. April loves her family, children and Disney!
Kate Minnehan, Assistant Teacher
Kate Minnehan is a licensed Early Childhood Teacher with a master's degree in early childhood education from Bridgewater State University. Ms. Kate brings over 10 years teaching in first and second grade classrooms in the Abington public school systems. Kate was also a licensed preschool teacher with the Busy Bee Preschool system. She lives in Abington with her husband Mike and their two boys, Patrick and Ryan. Ms. Kate loves her husband, children and most of all going on adventures with her family!
